My mom is feeling extensively hot compared to us from past few weeks. She complains in her body she feels burning sensation and only her face keeps sweating heavily. What could be the reason? Anything serious? She has thyroid and regularly takes thyroxine tablets.

When did she get her menopause? The symptoms are consistent with perimenopausal hot flashes. Hormone replacement therapy is beneficial if it is too troublesome. Consult a physician.
