Unsure of Diagnosis
I'm 18 & in October I was diagnosed with BPD after a session with a psychiatrist my therapist referred me to. I went because I've been (since I can remember) been dealing w/ mood swings that affected my life. But, I don't really feel like I have BPD. It's supposed to be constant but it's not, like I don't have symptoms all the time. I also have hypomanic episodes from time to time (most recently at the end of December for about 4 days) What else could this be?? does BPD include hypomania??

Hello Yes Bipolar disorder type 2 includes hypomania. So if you are having hypomanic episodes lasting 4 days in between then its most probably BPD. BPD type 2 is cyclic i.e. there are episodes of hypomania and depression with asymptomatic period in between.
