You have not qualified liver abscesses are amoebic or pyogenic. Treatment protocol should be based on the findings of aspiration. Amoebic liver abscess is treated with metronidazole PO/IV and chloroquine. And treatment of pyogenic abscess needs intravenous antibiotics  like ceftriaxone + aminoglycosides eg gentamicin amikacin. Best option is culture sensitivity of the aspirated pus.

Well, I have a couple of questions for you my friend, when did the last time you get the sonography done..? Do you get fever quite often..? Are you still taking any treatment for the liver abscess..?? However, weight loss is very common in liver dissorders. Some ayurvedic medicines like, 'Arogyavardhini Vati'(आरोग्यवर्धिनी वटी), 'KumariAsava'(कुमारीआसव) works great in liver issues. Simply consuming a teaspoonful of  fresh Aloe Vera pulp twice a day also improves  liver health, one can also add some sugar in it. And as soon as your liver function improves you'll naturally put on weight. ** Just make sure that the food you're consuming is organic, free from pesticides and preservatives. Get well soon...!
