Undescended testicle
My parents didn't done my treatment in childhood for crytorchidism. Which department deals with undescended testicle? Can cryptorchidism be cured with medicine or surgery is must? I am 19 years old. There is no pain. Report of CT scan says 'Ectopic right testis is situated in right side of the pelvis, just proximal to the right deep inguinal ring'. If surgery is must which one preferred - Orchiopexy or Orchiodectomy? I don't want to lose my testis even if it's of no use. Please reply sir.

It depends on intraoperative findings by surgeon to assess the condition of undescended testis.if it is of any significant size or functional value,it is preserved and has to be brought down to scrotal sac by laparoscopic surgery or open surgery.if surgically not possible due to insufficient lenth of chord staged procedure is executed.
