You need to make some changes to your present treatment as it is obvious that it is not working. It is some times but normal that the medications you have been taking and were once able to keep things under control, no longer able to so now. It’s because some of the medications you are on now depends on your ability to produce insulin yourself. As this is on the decline with every passing year, there is not enough insulin you having on board for the medications to work effectively. Hence you need to change to some treatment which either includes insulin and sometimes new medications which does not depend on your ability to produce insulin. Hope this helps.
