Dear Practo User
It is used in food products likes ice creams, and other products such as toothpastes etc. as a thickner. Nothing to worry. Most of the times when CMC eyes drops are used it passes into the oral cavity through your Nasolacrimal duct of the eye.
If in case you find allergic signs and symptims like redness of the eye and itching, visit a nearby Ophthalmologist.
