If your doctor has assessed your problem and concluded that cauterising the lesion is the best approach and you have discussed alternative treatments already you can go ahead. You may take a second opinion if you are in doubt. Unfortunately it does mean going through the assessment process and examination again. It is unclear from your description about exactly where the ulcer and cyst are and whether you have abnormal bleeding pattern, discharge or pain that made you go to the doctor in the first place. These symptoms do need further assessment and it is possible that the treatment suggested to you is meant to deal with these issues too.
