Typhoid or UTI or both?
73 yrs/M - fever started on 12/7. Widal Test Slide Agglutination on 14/7 yields TO Reactive upto titre 1:80, TH reactive utp 1:80, AH uto 1:40 and BH upto 1:40. However, Pus cells in urine from 18-20 WBC/HPF. Is it Typhoid or UTI or both? Retest of Typhoid on 19-7 shows TO Negative, TH 1:160, AH Negative and BH > 1:320. What does this mean? Cefi-O for 7 days. Now fever is hovering at 99.8 or below. No antibiotics - only Dolo 650 if fever exceeds 100. What medication? Was having antibiotics

Your reports are suggestive that you had both typhoid and UTI. You should show your reports to your treating doctor, you may require further antibiotics for typhoid. Keep yourself well hydrated(Aim to drink 2.4 liters of water/ day).
