Dear Doctor
My brother whose age is 21 years, have recently contracted Typhoid 14 days back. He was having fever at morning and evening with headache. We took treatement for typhoid for more than 10 days till today. Now he does not have any high fever, just sometime low fever at evening nothing else. He is feeling better now. But one thing we have noted is that, he is having a flacuating high heart rate when feeling well or not having any fever. His CBC report were also normal when checked for typhoid.
Yesterday he does not feel any fever, His Spo2 were 97-98%, and Hewrt rate was between 100-118 bpm. After taking calpol his heart rate came dowm below 100 bpm. Similarly when he wake up in morning we again checked his Spo2 were 98-99% and heart rate were around 100-112 bpm. And now at afternoon his Spo2 were 97-98% and heart rate were 97 - 115 Bpm & 98% Spo2 and 94BPM in the second time. Should we concern about the high heart rate or it is happening due to typhoid/medication.

There can be fluctuations in heart rate during such illness and even recovery phase..report to doctor if he has any cardiac symptoms like chest pain or shortness of breath
