I would suggest that you get a Transoesophageal Echo Study done to check for adequacy of the rims of the OS-ASD Defect in your child. If these rims are adequate, then a percutaneous device closure of the OS-ASD Defect can be done without any suture or scar for the child and the recovery is also very quick.
If the rims are not adequate, then the child may have to be subjected open heart surgical correction of the Defect.
