The most accurate way to know the type of gallbladder stone is to remove the gallbladder and all stone and examine them. The another way to know to some extent about the type of stone is city skin. The calcified stones can be seen on the CT scan. The other type of stones like cholesterol, pigmented or mixed stone can’t be differentiated by sonography.

Can be known only after removal.however a solitary gall stones are mostly of Cholesterol origin
