My mother is 42 and she lost 75%hearing in her right ear. Doctors suggested surgery "Tympano mastoidectomy". I would like to know it's there any side effects or this surgery is good or not?

She seems to be having chronic otitis media where there will be hole in tympanic membrane with hearing loss. Though she has mild nerve weakness on right side, surgery may help her to gain significant hearing
Next Steps
Consult nearby ENT specialist for confirmation of diagnosis and appropriate treatment if required
