I wanted to know if I would have taken tuberculosis BCG vaccine during my childhood. Is it a general practice in India to take it along with other vaccines. My parents also don't remember this that's why asking here
Also, which test is recommended for TB:
1. Tuberculin Skin Test (TST), or
2. TB Blood test (Quantiferon)

It's compulsory to take bcg vaccine in childhood.
U can see the small scar on your left arm to confirm.
Also neither of the abovementioned tests helps in diagnosing active tb

Truly said by Dr bang.. active TB you should consult a chest physician.. the two mentioned tests cannot be used for diagnosis alone.. it just tells contact with TB either in past or current contact..
