Triple Marker screen negative
Hi Doctors As per the latest news, the Supreme Court has rejected the Plea of 26- weeks old fetus to be aborted, even if the child is suffering from Down Syndrome. I have gone through Triple marker test at 16 weeks + 4 days of my pregnancy and the report says: 1) Neural Tube Defects Screen screen Negative. 2) Trisomy 21 Screening screen Negative. 3) Trisomy 18 Screening screen Negative Now my question is that do i need to undergo quadruple marker test also. Is there any chance of getting Down Syndrome to my baby afterwards. I am exactly 20 weeks + 1 day now. Please suggest. Please test the name of test if any required.

Hello. Unless you have history of children having Down's syndrome in family, you don't need to test again. Your triple marker is absolutely fine. If your anomaly scan is also okay, you should not be worried
