Am using tretin 0.05% acne cream and it helps me for pimples not scars...
Now m 5 weeks 4 days pregnant I just now read tretinoin should not be used during early pregnancy since it affects baby . Am scared I have used it in 5 weeks of my pregnancy period Plsss advice....

DONT GET SCARED. YOU ARE USING A TOPICAL CREAM AND THAT WONT AFFECT THE BABY.

Hello.
Tretin is teratogenic. It means, it can cause abnormalities in the child.
It is advisable to abort this pregnancy.

Dear Practo user,
It is not necessary all those who are exposed to local Tretin cream will land up in having babies with birth defects. There is no increased risk of major congenital malformations when compared to those who are not exposed to the cream.
