Treatment for epilepsy
Dear Doctor I have been taking treatment for epilepsy and on tablets with encorate chrono 500mg for last 10 years. I was advised to stop the medicine after 10 years of treatment, but within a span of 1 year I have encountered the another epilepsy event. I have been continuing with the same medicine as advised by the doctor again. A recent visit with cardiologist advised me to have the medications changed. Need advise on the following issue. Thanks Praveen

You should  undergo EEG and then meet your neurologist.  To change the drugs if EEG shows discharges. Nowadays Levipil is one of best drugs which can be given OD doses at night for Maintainence.
Next Steps
Consult your neurologist or neurosurgeon.
