Travel during pregnancy
I'm 1 mth pregnant. I ve function in my native 4 which I should go. My place is 3 to 4 hrs frm Blore by car. If I go by train it takes 1 over night. Pls tell me by which transport I can travel. And my gynae said nt 2 travel long. Bt Im working women she said that in city I can travel. pls tel me I should travel or not

If the rpad is not  bumpy,you may travel by car if the driver is very careful and considerate.Otherwise give it a miss.

Hi there I understand your concern and anxiety... Traveling is not adviced in first trimester as it will be stressful and since the baby is small it can't handle that amount of stress....We do not advocate travel during the first three or the last three months. During the last three months there is a risk of preterm labour especially if travel associated with jerky movements...Consult your gynaecologist and proceed further.

Hi. If you don't have any other high risk factor, you may travel. 3-4 hours is not a problem if roads are good. Keep a few things in mind. - carry your medications. You must continue them - keep medicines for vomiting handy. Pregnant women are more prone to motion sickness - take a break every 1-1½ hour to take a walk - stay hydrated If you have high risk factors like pregnancy after treatment, high blood pressure, diabetes, it's best to avoid travel. Otherwise short journey isn't a problem
