Transveginal ultrasound
I have irregular periods issue and i tried doing this internal transveginal pelvic sonography and pap smear. but it was super painful every time i tried doing it and could not do it? can doc do abdominal sonography as i just can not handle that pain during sonography? and why it pains so much i am very much worried. Only last year i managed to do it in singapore they had some pencil like thing for doing it but i was screaming for all the time. and reports were all normal

Hi, no problems with that. For irregular periods you can definitely get an abdominal sonography done. The pain can be because either you are too anxious or you might be having some pelvic infection with might be triggering the pain. Go for Sonography on a full bladder and request the Sonologist to do an abdominal sonography saying that you are not comfortable with the vaginal sonography. That should probably be ok.

R you married? Why you have a problem with transvaginal probe.. R u suffering from only irregular periods or infertility also.. If that the problem kindly meet good sexologist also becoz more than 90%women are comfortable with transvaginal probe... Pain May be related with infection, endometriosis, detail ultrasound necessary..
