Toxic Shock Syndrome

I left a tampon in for a while, after a while i experienced bad stomach pains, diarrhea, and a yellow mucus coming from my butt as well. Im afraid it could mean toxic shock syndrome. i asked a friend and she said it might have been from being on your period and it giving you diarrhea and stomach pains but im not on my period for some reason i was getting bloody discharge but my period hasnt come yet
