Isolated cervical dystonia very rarely may lead to an Atlanto axial rotatory subluxation. No need to worry unless you have symptoms of the latter in any given patient as this complication is very rare. However if such a rare complication does develop an urgent neurosurgical consultation needs to be sought. It is better to undergo a detailed neurological evaluation anyhow if you have doubts.
