Ma'am we always have to weigh the risks and benefits of treatment. Of course your Physician / Neurophysician must have taken that into consideration and must have prescribed you the treatment. I would advise you to not change the course of treatment on your own without consultation with your doctor. Any issues you are facing then you should go for a follow up. For discomfort in eye you can start with any lubricant eyedrops like Eyedrops Refresh Tears 1 drop 3 times a day for 30 days. Can continue this Eyedrop for as long as you want. But every month you will have to buy a new Eyedrops bottle.

Good afternoon. Topiramate has got many ocular side effects glaucoma and uveitis are one of those. If in case you develop any redness, reduced vision or pain in the eyes, I would suggest you get your eyes examined by an ophthalmologist near you for signs of raised Intra Ocular Pressure (IOP). You can use artificial tears eye drop like refresh tears 3 times/day in the meantime
