Tooth touching gum
My one tooth ws removed before . (Bottom last left side) And tooth above that empty place is coming down and touching gum. Which smtime pain . Do i need to remove upper tooth as well ? Is this the only solution ?

Hi,when a tooth is removed in one of the jaws,then the tooth in the opposite jaw supraerupts in an attempt to meet the opposite tooth,,it is possible to stop this if you get a tooth fixed or implanted in the vacant space,,provided clinically it is possible.

Hello. If the upper tooth which is hitting the lower gums is a wisdom tooth then just get it extracted. However if the upper tooth is a molar tooth ( which is very important for eating) attempt must be made to save it. Visit your dentist at the earliest. Happy to help. Dr Zankhana Mody Mohile
