Tooth sensitivity
I got a crown surgery on my left tooth in April and have been having normal eating habits since then. Since the last few weeks, I have been experiencing teeth sensitivity and have been trying to use flouride mouth wash and pain relief gel suggested by my dentist. Any suggestions on what else can be done to relieve this ? Thanks a lot!

Good evening mam, I have gone through your description. 1. If you got a crown on tooth which is not root canal treated, Might be has infection that is also a reason of your sensitivity. 2. It You got a crown on tooth which is not root canal treated, Sometimes Crown got sensitive due to cutting procedure. But this sensation is temporary. You can take Some antibiotics and analgesic and use sensitivity paste for some time it will be ok. 3. But Still if you are having continue complaints of sensation and Pain you should go and get a dental xray done to evaluation of any dental infection in tooth. 4. For temporary relief you can take Capsule Mox 500Mg 3times a day for 3days. Tablet Brufen 400Mg 3 times a day for 3 days. (Avoid medicines if you have a allergy from penicillin and ibuprofen).

Please get an x-ray done for the affected tooth. We can check in an x-ray whether infection has reached the pulp or bone.
