Tooth infection
I have had a tooth infection for 2 weeks and I’m getting my root canal in 4 days but for right now I’m taking amoxicillin (antibiotic). The problem is I can’t take the capsules being that they are too big for me so I opened it and put the powder in my mouth and swallowed it down with a little room temperature water. Was that safe ? Is amoxicillin time-released ? Also is there anything that can help my tooth pain for the mean time ?

First and foremost , it’s not advisable to consume the contents of the Capsule directly . If u can’t take a capsule then there is also an oral suspension available in the market which can be taken with water . U can take any Analgesics like Diclofenac or Ibugesic for the time being but the treatment is highly indicated
