No. It's a misconception that tooth extraction is painful. With powerful anesthetic agents available, it's very easy to numb the tooth and surrounding tissues rendering the process painless.

Precautions : 1. Bite cotton pad softly and gently for 45 minutes. 2. Take your prescribed medicines (antibiotics and painkillers). 3. Put icepack on affected area. 4.Do lick the affected area. 5. Swallow all blood and saliva, avoid spitting as it may dislodge the blood clot. 6. Eat soft cold and semi liquid food from opposite side. 7. Avoid drinking hot fluids and soft drinks and avoid drinking with straw. 8. After 24 hours start warm saline rinses 3-4 times daily( which reduces inflammation and avoid food lodgement).
Health Tips
Wound site will start to feel better within a few days. Complete healing may take place in 10-14 days according to age and other conditions.
