Tooth Extraction
Hi Today I had a tooth a tooth extraction but due to the damaged tooth the fragment part of the root was not getting out by normal instrument. Next day a surgeon will come to do dilation, i am bit scared as this was my first extraction. What is dilation for tooth?

Difficult extraction's require more luxation (dilation as mentioned by you). Usually performed by maxillofacial surgeon's in such case if it gets complicated.

Hi. Teeth Extractions can be unpredictable sometimes. Do not worry, the surgeon will take care of it. Once the procedure is done you shall require a few days for the wound to heal, thats all. He probably means disimpaction that is removal of a tooth stuck in the bone. Wish you a smooth recovery.
