Hey guys! My 2nd premolar in the lower jaw chipped this morning, it already had a filling. The filling is still intact. It's not hurting as such but yeah feels a bit odd and sharp in the mouth. Please help.

Hi.. You can undergo refilling or a crown if more tooth structure is chipped off or as your dentist's best advise. Regards

The filling will need to be replaced and if there is substantial loss of tooth structure you will be better served with a ceramic inlay/onlay which will be far more conservative than a crown and longer lasting than a routine filling.

U need to get the tooth refilled and preferably go for a crown. Since premolar is very small in size, over that filling would have weakened the tooth all the more, so it has fractured.
