Too much steam
I have been advised to take steam regularly twice a day to avoid throat ear and nose problems. Does inhaling too much steam on regular basis can cause pneumonia in lungs ?

Hello there.  I can understand your concern.  Yes taking steam inhalations is good. Pneumonia is a completely different problem. Its when there is some bacteria that infects the lung and causes issues related to that. Fever, cough and expectoration and breathing discomfort are common problems occuring in pneumonia. Dont have to be worried about it. Best regards. Dr. Anil kumar jain. Bangalore.
