I get tonsillitis every 2 to 2.5 months. I have visited an ENT specialist, but they haven’t found any reason for it. This has been happening for the last 2 years. Please suggest some tests so I can properly diagnose the problem.

Hello I'm Dr Nikita Iyer. If you have recurrent episodes of tonsillitis pain despite the ENT examination not accounting for tonsillar enlargement, it could be an allergic pharyngitis presentation.
Next Steps
You could get a blood test done including total eosinophil count and IgE count
You could also do a skin prick test to isolate the allergen trigger to be better prepared in the future
Health Tips
Visit an ENT doctor to start an antihistaminic if needed and gargles once a thorough examination of the throat is done
