Tonsillitis
ENT specialist diagnosed tonsillitis grade 4 and should go for surgery. Is it necessary at this age? Any further problems in future? Please suggest.

Actually this is the correct age for surgery... But I would advise you to undergo Coblation or LASER assisted Adenotonsillectomy..... Much safer, less pain, faster recovery!

Grade 4 tonsils means that they are touching each other. In that case he must be having breathing problems and swallowing problems. Get a tonsillectomy done if he is getting recurrent sore throat
