I came out of hospital 5 days ago for quinsy a abcsess in the tonsil. I was just wandering if I could have a cigarette. But will this make it come back as it is still healing ? Is there any significant risks if I were to have 1 ciggarette

You should avoid smoking while on treatment for any throat infection especially quinsy which is much severe type of throat infection. Smoking may delay healing and cause your infection persist longer
