In a completely breastfed baby, usually Iron supplement is started after 6 months. Probably your baby is anaemic so your doctor has prescribed.

It depends on why it was prescribed. Normally started after 6 months when solids are started.
0.8 is a little on the higher side if your child is of normal weight and no signs of anemia.

yes it can be given if child is anemic (low hemoglobin). this dose is for treatment only
