Tongue Trash or Epilepsy or Geniospasm
My 8 month old baby is biting tongue continuously only in his sleep, injuring himself & bleeding from tongue after cut. This has been happening for almost 12 days now. We suspected that it could be due to 4 sharp milk teeth, so we rounded those teeth with the dentist. Even after rounding biting and bleeding didn't stop. Too much of white milk thrush has been piled on the injured tongue. So giving candid paint, flucanozole. He also grinds his teeth during sleep (Bruxism) Is it Epilepsy or Geniospasm or Neurol disorder or Oral Candiasis which is leading to a sore tongue, because of which he is biting it only during sleep? But my question is why only biting tongue in sleep? Why Grinding teeth? There are journals fir this rare case, Nocturnal tongue biting; Faciomandibular myoclonus; Bruxism; Hereditary chin trembling; Oromandibular myoclonus; Clonazepam; Recurrent tongue biting. So far I have shown 4 doctors, nobody gave good reason & no signs of improvement in 12 days. please help _/\_
