Tobacco ( Pan Masala plus Tobacco)
I female 49 years, cannot leave tobacco, and having it from at least 20 years. I tried many things, including medicines, doctor's advice, family motivation, etc. I had mouth ulcers several times and now if it happens it lasts around 20 days. Very scared but not able to spend a day without it. At this time, I have reduced to 1 or someday two times a day, but it is becoming very difficult. I remain irritated all day, have irregular bowel movements, and many other issues. I am going through menopause as well and that adds up to every suffering. I feel very tensed and remain sad and nothing cherishes me. I have reduced from 6 to 1-2 doses a day but please suggest how can I stop this addiction.

We get more focused on something which we are not allowed to do or follow. I don’t know what all therapy you have tried but if you will evaluate the consequences. Also don’t focus your life on that. For bowel you can increase the fiber diet / water intake. You want want to start with rebirths work out. Jogging if possible or start with music and walk.
Next Steps

The mind tends to fixate on pursuits that are deemed to be sources of three things in general - beauty, pleasure and security. You will notice that these pursuits keep changing as you grow and evolve as a person. Hence, it is natural that the very activity that was a source of pleasure earlier no longer serves the purpose today. Forgive me for stating the obvious - consulting an expert and committing to a de addiction treatment regimen will help address the challenges that you are dealing with right now. Remember the time you were learning to walk as a child - while it was important to attend to the bruises as you repeatedly fell down, they did not deter you from the joy of taking those baby steps forward. While addressing the challenges that go along with unlearning the habit, let your main focus be on what is calling for your attention and needs to be addressed - committing your attention and focus toward something that truly fulfills you and resonates with you. At times, we also pick up and maintain habits that we believe serve the purpose of helping us cope with something challenging or disturbing. You cannot drive out darkness dealing with it face-to-face. But once you light a candle, darkness automatically disappears. When you begin to focus on what's calling for your attention and needs to be addressed within you, rest assured that you will be able to overcome the challenges you are dealing with right now. Our attitude towards life in general and things in particular is based on our Beliefs - what we believe to be true about ourselves and the world. What are your core beliefs about yourself and the world? What are those beliefs on the basis of which you feel that you are not worthy enough to be deserving the right to lead the kind of life that you truly deserve to live ? Try writing them down and examine the validity of these beliefs. Some of them may be limiting and negative in nature because of some of the feedback you might have received while growing up - at home, in school, from your classmates, friends, relatives, etc. But once you are aware of them, you shed light on them, examine their truth, they can no longer manipulate your behavior or actions. As your beliefs change, your attitude changes, and words, actions and behavior follow. Our challenges that seem to threaten our very existence are the ones that serve as fuel for our evolution.
