Acne is caused by over-activity of your oil glands. For controlling acne, you need a systematic treatment and skin care guidelines that you need to follow for a long time. Blackheads are a form of early acne and occur due to oxidation of the debris within your pores. You will benefit from chemical peels and specific medicines for acne. In addition, you should take care of your skin by washing your face regularly with a medically recommended face wash. Avoid scrubbing your skin as this will not help in reducing the blackheads and instead cause more damage to your skin. Diet is also very important. You should avoid all unhealthy, processed foods and fried foods, excess consumption of sugar and also reduce the consumption of milk and milk products. You should shift to a diet which has more fibre and antioxidants, so you should have more green leafy vegetables, yellow-coloured fruits and vegetables. Use a good non-comedogenic sunscreen on a daily basis and if you have any dandruff, that should be treated too.
Next Steps
Consult a certified dermatologist near you or via online consultation with photographs.
Health Tips
