Hi, I've been diagnosed with TMJD, and I'm currently also facing sense of imbalance. I strongly suspect that the two are related as I've experienced the sense of imbalance only after i was diagnosed with TMJD. Can I get some advice on this. Thank you.

Although the two are very closely related in terms of anatomy they are actually different issues. Imbalance is arising from issues in your middle ear, vertigo developing from cochlear fluid moving imperfectly in the semi circular canals of your ear whereas the tmj joint is outside and below the external auditory meatus. If you feel an exaggerated click on opening it is related to your tmjd nothing else.
Next Steps
visit an ent for your sense of imbalance to discern if it is a mechanical or neural cause. Visit a dentist to know what steps you should take to reduce your tmjd symptoms depending on age and severity several treatment options are available
Imbalance while walking is mainly due to the vestibulocochlear nerve which helps in hearing and maintaining body balance. It has a negligible effect from a TMJ aspect. Consult an Otolaryngologist for your sense of Imbalance
Next Steps
A Fat Suppressed MRI is usually advisable for a proper diagnosis
These are two separate issues and need to be handled differently. TMJD is due to dysfunction of jaw joint and muscles and cases symptoms like pain and difficulty in chewing, etc. Imbalance cannot be generated by the TM joint and has different causes.
Next Steps
Please visit an ENT to investigate the imbalance. A dentist trained in TMJ dysfunction should manage your other complaint.
