By giddiness do you mean the entire room rotates?
Medication containing gingobiloba has been found to be helpful in tinnitus. If the tinnitus is due to hearing loss then correcting the loss (with hearing aid) will help reduce tinnitus. Also tinnitus maskers are available.
Health Tips
Keep a watch (that has clicking sounds) or a radio in between stations at low volume underneath the pillow. It will divert your mind from the tinnitus (if it is too much at night)
