Thyroid tablet
Hello my wife is 12 week pregnant. Doctor asked us to some blood and urine reports in 6th week. In that they tested for Thyroid test and her result of that are below Free T3 - 6.36 Free T4 - 16.0 T TSH - 2.94 All these are in between range and no need to worry but still doctor prescribed her thyronorm 12.5 mcg(empty stomach) tablet daily once. And she asked us to continue untill you deliver the baby and then after for certain months. So do we really need that? Is there any effect on long term? Will this tablet have any side effect like it brings thyroid permanently in her?
