Thyroid problem
Recently I have done TSH and the test result is 6.79 mcIU/ml but the biological reference is 0.55 - 4.78. I would like to know whether Im suffering from hypothyroid or hyperthyroid and should I take tablets bcoz my physician told me not to take tablets as it is in border and to go for another test after 3 months. Pl suggest. Thanks in advance

Yes it look like subclinical hypothyroidism. You can wait and repeat test after 3 months. Get your Free T4 test done . It is the actual action form of thyroxine available for tissues. If its low then it is recommended to start thyroxine supplimentation. Do you have family history for thyroid disorders ?
