Thyroid cyst - bethesda Category II
My mother's FNAC reports says "Smears are moderately cellular showing follicular epithelial cells arranged in large sheets.Background show cyst macrophages and colloid impression - suggestive of Benign thyroid lesson (Bethesda Category II)" I understand it's a king of benign tumor removed.so my question is what treatment ww should take now.please suggest

Since it is proved as Benign tumor of thyroid gland by fine needle aspiration cytology, surgery is not always necessary. If the nodule is cosmetically disfiguring then surgery may be necessary or else she need not require surgery
