Thyriod test
Hello Doctor, My husband received his thyroid test results: T3: 1.3 (range: 0.97–1.69) T4: 7.54 (range: 5.53–11) TSH: 20 (range: 0.04–4.049) He is currently taking Thyronorm 75 mcg. Could you please advise whether he should continue with the same medication or if he needs to consult you for a dosage adjustment? Thank you, Doctor.

Can you check with your husband if he has been taking the Thyronorm 75mcg. It’s just that T3 and T4 are in normal limits but the TSH is very high. The most common reason for this pattern on blood test is patients not taking the Thyronorm regularly. Ask him to take the same dose every day and get TSH test repeated in 2 weeks and share here. All the best. J G S R clinic
