Thumb pain
I have pain at base of right thumb for last 2 weeks. There is no swelling. Most probably I developed this pain during cleaning utensils. Pain has reduced but it appears during certain actions like combing hair. Any exercise or physiotherapy which can relieve this

It can be due to over use of thumb while doing work or even using mobile for texting. Can cause Inflammation Other possibilities is de quervaine tenosynovitis ( tendons of your thumb get inflamed )  This above causes   lead to pain . Best treatment. Is ice application  for 20 min  thrice per day for 7 days Avoid over using your thumb for few day give it rest. Yes some splint or brace wil give u help to reduce movement at thumb Physiotherpy will be good but will be helpful once Inflammation reduced You need medication for  reducing Inflammation For prescription plz consult on. Practo or your near by local Orthopaedic doctor.

Ideally resting the thumb or using a splint would be better.
