Throat pain left side on tonsils area
I have been suffering from throat pain and difficult swallowing anytime and now I can see some white spots on tonsils visible in the image little and below also more white spots are there??
What are those?
Have visited ENT, told it's nothing..
But m getting pain and difficult swallowing.
Doing Salt water gargle also..
It is anything to worry more??

Basically, food particles like rice or sooji get stuck in the tonsil crypts. This trapped food slowly starts to rot giving rise to bad breath. Over a period of time salivary calcium starts to deposit over this debris forming what is called a Tonsillolith. It is harmless but may cause bad breath. If this happens frequently, you may drop in to my clinic for to plan for LASER assisted Tonsillar Ablation where about 2mm of the surface if the tonsil is vaporised which renders the crypts shallow so food may not be trapped there anymore.
