Throat Infection for almost 20 days

Asked for Male, 25 Years

Doc, I had consumed alcohol and puked 5 to 6 times and afterwards my Thorat was irritated for a while and voice was slightly strained. I thought it was pretty much because of the alcohol and puking. But I waited like a week the symptoms to subsidise. But it didn't later I consulted a ENT specialist and he gave clavam 625 antibiotic for 5 days because I had throat infection and congestion in my throat. I felt strained after talking for few min. I gargled salt water everyday too. My symptoms is still the same. I have pain while swallowing, strain while talking too. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance.

Hi. The symptoms you described could have been because of the alcohol and retching. However, since it has been over 2 weeks and the symptoms have not improved, an office-based examination of larynx with a flexible/rigid endoscope would be advisable to confirm the diagnosis.
