Me and my fiance want to do thalassemia screening before getting married.. should we go direct to pathology and ask for,or doctor should advise then pathology will do the screening.could you tell me reliable pathology near salt lake Kolkata area. Thanks and Regards,

get a osmotic fragility test done..bt it cms positive only wen ur symptomatic nyways it wud rule out thalassemia major next u need to do Electrophoresis of blood to get it confirmed
