The tests for Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea are from the urine sample and also from the cervical swab.
Urine sample is a preferred method because it doesn't involve a vaginal examination. A urine sample is taken and subjected to NAAT (Nucleic Acid Amplification Test). It is 94% accurate.
The other method is a swab examination, taken from Cervix in the female and a urethral swab taken from the tip of the penis in male. It involves pelvic examination.
For the infection from the throat or from the rectum a swab is taken for direct smear examination and culture.
There are no blood tests for the diagnosis of Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea.
I think i have already given you the answer ma'am.
You can go for culture and sensitivity for the discharge.
Kindly consult if you want a detailed discussion about your symptoms and the treatment.
