What test should I take before visiting a dermatologist for excess hairfall, dandruff. I also have acne on my face. I had dengue 3 months back and I also have polycystic ovaries (as per the ultrasound reports generated when I was in ICU for dengue)

Hairfall is not due to one single cause. There are many conditions which can cause extreme hair loss and thinning of hair on the scalp. So first and foremost we have to find the cause of hair fall with the help of detailed history and examination. Some of the common causes maybe nutritional deficiency, hormonal causes like androgenic alopecia also called pattern baldness, hypothyroidism, telogen effluvium etc. Unless we find and treat the cause there is no point in giving non specific treatment. Also one should refrain from home remedies as it does not give any relief from hairfall. Hormonal tests.. however you are suffering from seborrhoeic dermatits causing dandruff and hair fall.. for accurate diagnosis and treatment do direct online consultation with photos

Hair fall can be due to various factors like harmonal effects vitamin deficiencies stress dandruff...
U can take
CBC, Vit D , Vit B12 and ferritin tests as they are important for hair...
