In the afternoon my temperature was in the range 98.5 to 99.7(ear thermometer). Very little sore throat. Did the antigen test in the evening, came negative. RTPCR test results are awaiting. Should I isolate myself? Have been checking my temperature since an hour.. it is around 98 to 98.4.

Yes antigen test is not confirmatory and if you are having fever and sore throat you should isolate and consult your physician even if RT pcr is negative ..RT PCR can also be negative in early stage and if viral load is very low..
Next Steps
Consult the physician and start treatment and..blood investigations

If you have a sour throat and already awaiting test results, isolating yourself is the most logical thing to do.
Fever May or may not be seen on the first day of symptoms.
That’s not your only marker.
Please isolate , chekc your test result and consult as needed.
