My moral tooth half is broken and when food is consumed and chewed the food gets into the filling and smells over time.

Hello sir, Fractured teeth can be restored to its form and function by doing a root canal treatment ( rct ) and capping ( crown ) . It's always good to preserve your natural teeth. Please visit a dentist and have your tooth checked and please follow your dentist s instructions to save your teeth. Root canal treatment have high percentage of success. Even log term decayed tooth and fractured tooth can be restored to its original form , strength and function . If the amount of fracture it more your dentist might advise you to extract your teeth .
