Hello.
Tarlov cysts also called as perineural cysts are a common pathology involving the spine.
The decision to operate on these lesions is a bit controversial.Surgery is only advised if the symptoms and radiology show a high degree of concurrence else failure rates are high with significant risk of neurological problems after the surgery.
Hence surgery is not the usual first line treatment.
